Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas provides women’s health services across various departments to help women thrive. From imaging to gynecologic surgery or pelvic floor therapy, we provide comprehensive women’s services before, during and after the reproductive years. Our hospital services include:

Highpoint Health – 萨姆纳 provides care for high-risk babies through our partnership with 范德比尔特. This allows us to care for babies with gestational ages of 35 weeks and greater. We have available specialized RNs, 医生, respiratory therapists, 社会工作者, 放射科工作人员. We can stabilize babies requiring advanced care prior to their arrival at 范德比尔特. We can also perform newborn 回波测试, saving babies from a transfer to 范德比尔特.
We have an excellent medical staff of obstetricians, pediatricians and family practitioners, as well as experienced and well-trained nurses who welcome more than 700 babies into the world each year.
Our staff is always on call and is happy to answer your questions 24 hours a day.
Recommended Women’s Health Care by Age
While every woman’s health journey is unique, below are some general guidelines to help you understand what well-woman services are recommended for you based on your age. Talk to your primary care provider or women’s health provider to tailor this plan just for you or your family members.
- 9-12岁 Adolescents in this age range should get the HPV vaccine to help protect against six types of cancers.
- 21岁—— 巴氏涂片 begin and should be repeated once every three years to screen for cervical cancer.
- 〇40岁 Women 应该开始 receiving a 乳房x光检查 once per year to screen for breast cancer.
- 〇45岁 定期检查 结肠癌 应该开始, especially if you are at higher risk based on your family history and/or health condition.
- 〇65岁 Bone mineral density testing for osteoporosis is recommended.
- 75岁—— Colon cancer screenings and pap smears may no longer be needed. Talk with your doctor to discuss your personalized screening recommendations.
